Curriculum for 2018 intake

At the beginning of the school year, students are required to take a music theory proficiency test. Those who do not pass must not only make up for this course but also take two to four credits of designated related courses.

Credits exceeding four will not be counted toward graduation credits.

Courses offered by outside institutions or other universities, with the approval of the advisor and department head, must be at least six credits.

Students who have not completed a music history course totaling four credits during their university years must fulfill the four-credit requirement by taking music history courses within this department.

Graduate students majoring in piano who have not taken harpsichord courses during their undergraduate studies must make up for it.

The total credits for courses from other departments or external institutions are limited to a maximum of six credits.

Students majoring in electronic music or new music theater, with the approval of the advisor and department head, must take at least three credits of relevant courses from external institutions or other universities.
