Curriculum for 2024 intake

At the beginning of the school year, students are required to take a music theory proficiency test. Those who do not pass must undergo this remedial study.

At the beginning of the school year, students must take a music history proficiency test. Those who do not pass must, before graduation, complete one to two specified music history courses as remedial study. Only those who pass the proficiency test or have already completed one remedial course are eligible to take the "Introduction to Music Research."

To include credits for graduation, one must submit an application during the add/drop (course) period of the semester. Upon approval by the advisor and review by the department meeting, the credits will be recognized for graduation, up to a maximum of six credits.
