Curriculum for 2022 intake

At the beginning of the school year, students are required to take a music theory proficiency test. Those who do not pass must undergo this remedial study.

At the beginning of the school year, students must take a music history proficiency test. Those who do not pass must, before graduation, complete one to two specified music history courses as remedial study.

Credits exceeding four will not be counted toward graduation credits.

To include credits for graduation, one must submit an application during the add/drop (course) period of the semester. Upon approval by the advisor and review by the department meeting, the credits will be recognized for graduation, up to a maximum of six credits.

The total credits for courses from other departments or external institutions are limited to a maximum of six credits.

Students with the approval of the advisor, may take up to five credits of relevant courses either within or outside the university.
