Lecture Outline
In the development of contemporary music and sound art, cross-disciplinary technological applications have become an important trend. Taiwan Sound Lab, as an institution dedicated to the integration of sound technology and art, is committed to promoting spatial audio, immersive sound design, and their applications in theater, exhibitions, performances, and technological art.
In addition, international collaboration plays a key role in sound experimentation and technological development. IRCAM in France has long been devoted to research in acoustics, computer music, and spatial sound technology, exerting a profound influence on modern music and spatial audio design. The Society for Arts and Technology in Canada focuses on immersive media and interactive sound technologies, exploring the integration of sound and image in digital environments.
The speaker’s personal creative practice uses immersive sound technology to experiment with different musical forms and modes of expression, while also collaborating with fields such as theater and dance to explore the possibilities of sound in various contexts. Through these experiences, this lecture aims to share directions in the development of cross-disciplinary sound art and to examine how technology is transforming our imagination of sound and music.
