Taiwanese Cellist Yu-Han Chen, whose numerous awards including the Golden Melody Awards for best performance, the Chimei Arts Award, CDA Symphony Young Artist Competition 1st Prize and OSAKA International Music Competition Espoir Prize.

Yu-Han holds a Doctor of Musical Arts from National Taiwan Normal University and Master of Music from Mannes School of Music. He started playing cello at the age of eight with formal musical study. He has been instructed by many internationally notable cellists, such as Natalia Gutman, Tsuyoshi Tsutsumi, Christine Walevska, Yo-Yo Ma, Gary Hoffman, Steven Isserlisl, and Alban Berg Quartett、Orion String Quartet for his chamber music. 

With his outstanding performance, he has been invited to perform in several international music festivals and concerts, which includes Pacific Music Festival, Texas Music Festival, Schlern Music Festival, Foulger Music Festival, as well as numerous concerts in the U.S., Europe, Australia, and Asia. 

Though he got accepted by Michigan State University for the Doctoral program right after completing his Master degree, he decided to join the Taipei Symphony Orchestra and earned his Doctoral degree from National Taiwan Normal University. Yu-Han maintains an ongoing cellist, and has been actively giving recitals at the National Concert Hall in Taiwan.
