"Mysterious Sound Realm" – Technology interaction, AI music, Live coding, Immersive sound
As the 2025 C-LAB Sound Festival enters its latter stages, the Computer Music Team from the Institute of Music, National Yang Ming Chiao Tung University, presents Mysterious Sound Realm—a concert featuring technology-driven musical interaction, AI music co-creation, data-driven processes, live coding, and immersive sound experiences.
The program showcases diverse forms of performance, including:
(1) interaction between Max/MSP software and instrumental performance,
(2) AudioStellar, a data-driven and AI-powered visualization software,
(3) immersive multi-channel electroacoustic music created with Spat 5,
(4) live music creation using Strudel-REPL, and
(5) human–computer co-creation through dialogue between performer and Somax2, an AI-based application.
Mysterious Sound Realm unfolds as a sonic journey where sound and space merge, and technology intersects with auditory perception. The concert explores the interplay between human and machine, performer and AI, revealing moments of tension and wonder that flow between “reality and illusion.” Audiences are invited to experience an aural landscape of aesthetic beauty, imbued with mystery and the intangible allure of the unknown.
