Congratulations to Professor Tseng, Yu-Chung for Receiving the Best Music Award at ICMC BOSTON 2025

Congratulations to Professor Tseng, Yu-Chung on Winning the Best Music Award at ICMC BOSTON 2025!

The 50th Anniversary International Computer Music Conference (ICMC BOSTON), held in Boston, concluded this past Saturday (June 15). The conference announced the winner of the [Professional Category] Best Music Award, and we are proud to share that Professor Tseng, Yu-Chung of our university has received this prestigious honor.

His award-winning electroacoustic piece, Soundscape Beyond Black and White, explores the relationship between granular synthesis (G.S.), phase vocoding (P.V.) techniques, and the construction of virtual sonic landscapes through the micro-sounds produced within the piano.

This marks Professor Tseng’s fourth time receiving an award at ICMC since 2011—a testament to his continued excellence and innovation in the field of computer music.

We are delighted to share this great news with all faculty and students!
