|Abstract:

In recent years, generative AI has developed at an astonishing pace, transforming societal perceptions of
artistic creation across text, images, and music. This talk will introduce the fundamental principles of
generative AI and explore its applications and impact on music and sound creation, including assisted
composition, automated composition, and the possibilities of generating entirely new sonic expressions.
We will also examine the copyright challenges posed by AI-generated music and discuss how creators
can adapt to this technological wave, considering the future direction of musical arts while reflecting on
the value and potential of creative expression.
