Congratulations to Chiang Wei-Ting of the Institute on Being Selected for an International Composition Workshop
Invited by the Hakka Affairs Council, German musician Jörg Widmann, NSO Honorary Conductor Lü Shao-Chia, and twelve renowned Taiwanese composers from different generations will jointly lead master lectures and thematic workshops. The program aims to inspire the creative potential of young composers, connect them with the international music scene, deepen their understanding of Hakka elements, and encourage them to create works grounded in their lived experiences.
Through an open selection process, ten promising young composers were chosen to participate in a two-week workshop featuring thematic courses. The program also includes the composition and selection of orchestral works incorporating Hakka-style elements, with the goal of enhancing the creative abilities and cultural perspectives of young composers.
