Composition Category
1 hours, 1 credits
Instructor

Course Overview and Objectives

This course is co-taught with Hans W. Koch, a full-time professor at the Academy of Media Arts Cologne in Germany. From the perspective of philosophical aesthetics, we will explore sound installation as an art form and analyze creative case studies by various artists. The course aims to broaden students’ understanding of the constituent elements of installation, and to build knowledge of creating sound art without the use of loudspeakers.

Through this process, students will explore and develop the tasks and objectives of their own project concepts. This course is taught in English.
